1. Prepare the Beef Filling
- Heat olive oil in a skillet.
- Sauté onion and garlic until fragrant.
- Add minced beef, season with salt, pepper, and paprika, then cook until browned.
- Stir in flour, cook 1 minute.
- Slowly pour in beef broth and milk, stirring until creamy. Add Worcestershire sauce. Simmer 5 minutes until thickened.
2. Layer the Casserole
- Grease a baking dish with butter.
- Layer half of the sliced potatoes on the bottom.
- Spread half of the creamy beef mixture.
- Add remaining potatoes, then the rest of the beef.
- Sprinkle with cheese on top.
3. Bake
- Cover with foil and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 35 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake another 15 minutes until golden and bubbly.
4. Serve
- Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
- Garnish with chopped parsley.
