For the Chocolate Cake Layers:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • ¾ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1½ tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup boiling water

For the Chocolate Ganache:

  • 12 oz (340g) semi-sweet chocolate, finely chopped
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, softened

For the Whipped Cream:

  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream, cold
  • ¼ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

For the Fruit Topping:

  • 1½ cups fresh berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
  • Sliced kiwi, mango, or peaches (optional)
