Lamb Neck Curry recipe

This dish combines succulent lamb neck pieces with bold spices, onions, tomatoes, and creamy sauce, making it the perfect comfort meal served over rice or with warm naan.

  • 2 large onions, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1-inch piece ginger, minced or grated
  • 3 tomatoes, chopped (or 1 can diced tomatoes)
  • 1 cup plain yogurt (room temperature)
  • 2–3 cups beef or lamb stock (or water)

Spices:

  • 2 tsp ground coriander
  • 2 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1½ tsp garam masala
  • 2 tsp paprika
  • 1–2 tsp chili powder (adjust to taste)
  • 2–3 dried bay leaves
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 4–5 cardamom pods, lightly crushed
